NHS Health Trainers are working across county Durham and Darlington areas. They are local people who have been trained to City and Guilds Level 3 and can offer information and support to help with lifestyle changes such as eating more healthily, stopping smoking and becoming more active.

Members of the public and professionals can access information on activities that aim to improve the population's health in County Durham and Darlington. Most of the activities are free and the majority do not require medical referral. The website welcomes organisations in County Durham and Darlington to submit activities for inclusion on the site. Activities on IMPACT include physical activity, arts and creativity, learning, volunteering, befriending and self help.
